The Blue Goose took over the prominent Tickled Trout some time ago. Having heard such rave reviews about this place I was desperate to try it.
About 1 year after it was opened we did go there one Friday evening for a couple of drinks and some food.
The cocktails are lovely, the food really not so much. Was highly disappointed by the quality of it. Such a shame since hearing so many good things (at the start). After my first bad experience of overpriced food I did actually try the food again on another occasion. Again I was disappointed. To go out for food, paying what I deem to be quite high prices, getting a lesser quality than what you can make yourself is a shame.
Another shame is that the staff didnt seem to take in a complaint, they did not seem bothered.
On a positive note this is a Dog friendly pub and does have a lovely beer garden………I am sure I will return for drinks………..
